Gilli Mitti ki Khushboo
Gilli Mitti ki Khushboo is inspired by a scent most of us recognise instantly. The smell of wet earth after rain. Familiar, grounding, and deeply comforting.
The candle is poured into a terracotta cup shaped like a kulhad. Terracotta was chosen intentionally because clay already carries the scent of earth and warmth. It felt like the most honest vessel for a gilli mitti fragrance.
Each cup features a simple hand painted white folk detail, kept minimal so the focus stays on texture and material rather than decoration. No two pieces are exactly alike.
The fragrance is earthy and raw, without sweetness or sharp notes. It smells like soil after the first rain, calm and settled, not overpowering.
A single wooden wick is used for a soft flame and a gentle crackling sound while burning. It adds warmth to the experience without altering the scent.
This candle is meant to be slow and familiar. Something that feels close to memory and everyday moments
